Dinner place: Pasta & Cuore
Monday, February 01, 2016
The first time A and I dined at Pasta & Cuore, they had recently opened and I think a little overwhelmed at being so busy. We managed to secure a teeny tiny table in front of the open kitchen and enjoyed a lovely meal of Spaghetti alla Chitarra and Tortellioni stuffed with ricotta di bufala with a glass of lovely Italian red wine. The spaghetti, those long strings of pasta I'd pass over for gnocchi or risoni, was especially delicious that I've made the switch again. I always buy spaghetti now.
Unfortunately they had just run out of their amoretti dessert by the time we got around to it, boohoo. We did get to taste their Tiramisu, though, and it got the thumbs up from A, who is a tiramisu fanatic and turns his nose up at most places. This must be the first tiramisu place he approves of, out of all the places I've been with him.
I've enjoyed the service here, and went back only a few days later to get more of their fresh pasta to enjoy at home - spaghetti, of course. They've converted me! Apart from the dining space inside, they also have a cute courtyard that doubles as the vege garden. It's a lovely place, and made for a lovely date night. Definitely going back, especially for that dessert we didn't get to have on our first night.
