Brunch place: Odettes Eatery
Saturday, January 30, 2016
A asked for recommendations on cool places to eat in Auckland CBD near her accommodation for the weekend, and I knew exactly where I'd point her to.
All the more because I'd also wanted to try Odettes for some time, every time I'd drive past City Works Depot.
Be sure to turn up early lest you risk being in a long queue to get inside. Inside you will find light wooden furniture and painted walls and big photos and display cabinets with not only food but art displays, as if you were in someone's huge modern retro (Nordic chic?!) living/dining room. It's stylish to match the equally stylish menu.
S had not only a brunch but a lunch date at Odettes back to back, so she had a muffin with us. How lovely looking is this sweet treat? I am becoming more and more interested in edible flowers these days and have decided I need to grow zucchinis this year so I can try their flowers in my future dishes.
A thanked me for introducing me here, of course. I'm equally thankful she finally got me to come here as a reason to show her around one of Auckland's most popular eatery places.
