Dinner place : Le Bazar Egyptien

Sunday, October 16, 2011

Went to this Egyptian place in the Bastille area for a friend's birthday dinner. I was really excited to be trying Egyptian cuisine, because I had never had them before.. Alas, it's more Moroccan than Egyptian, with couscous and tagines. Still, it was pretty nice. With dim lightings, way too loud music, and even a belly dancer, I got a little disoriented, but had a fun night. The bread was good, and the fish tagine my vegetarian friend and I shared was also alright. I had an El Amir cocktail, was sweet; happy hour prices are cheap.
