I love this place, every time. Its fun decor, its taco salad bowls, its salsa night where you're likely to have an awesome night and even meet someone unlikely.

My relationship with Mexican Cafe has been irregular but constant in all the years that I've been in Auckland, on and off. While Auckland is changing so much, Mexican Cafe has reassuringly stayed its ground. It's one of those few places that have been in Auckland for ages, and I hope will stay in place for many more years to come.
