I'm a horrible daughter. My goal for March is to get my butt down to Christchurch, already. It's been ages since I've seen my parents. I know Mum is dying to catch up over coffee and cake as soon as I get down. There are many new cafes in Christchurch, and Black and White Coffee Cartel is a pretty nice place I stopped by the last time. 

The spacious white interior is given a hip edge with frames and records filling up the walls. 

Caffeine fans and snobs are spoilt for choice and for difference sitting options, too. Padded chairs, wooden school chairs, beaten up leather couch. Take your pick.
