If you are looking for high end service and elaborate food, Shanghai Street is not for you. Think authentic Chinese street food, because after all, we are in Chinatown, and this is how I imagine it would be in China. When we arrived it was around 1pm, but the restaurant was still packed. The waiters talked to us in Chinese, whether we understood or not. We were shuffled along to our seats just as the diners before us were getting out of them.

Food is simple, almost colourless, but filling. This is crab and chicken dumpling. Apparently if they have soup in them, they are authentic dumplings. Not sure where that came from, but these have juice oozing out as you take the first bite.

Noodle soup was, again, very simple. Tasted like flour, which, I guess, is what the noodles are made of. They were so good, as we had been pretty hungry. The best thing about Shanghai Street is their price. It's cheap as. Three filling dishes and two drinks for three people didn't even amount to ten dollars per person!
