Dinner place : Kiwi Corner

Tuesday, December 13, 2011

F wanted to come here before the restaurant closed down. Unfortunately, Kiwi Corner will not be open for long, so get here while you can! It's near the Luxembourg gardens, behind the Saint Sulpice church. On the same street are also the NZ/Australia travel agency, the Antipodes bookshop and souvenir shop.

The restaurant is filled with NZ memorabilia, such as photos and Maori decorations.

I had Kumara salad - kumara being the Maori word for sweet potatoes.

F had lamb chops. The classic way to eat lamb is with mint sauce. Here, they had a twist by adding garlic to the mint sauce.

S' main dish.

Kiwi draught.

For dessert, of course we couldn't miss out on good ole' Pavlova. This is our national dessert. Don't let the Aussies tell you that it's their's.
