Mid-week outing

Went to the best baguette place in Paris, La Boulangerie Julien in the 1st arrondissement, then had it for lunch on Pont Neuf with D. Yum!!

Also visited Sainte-Chapelle, which we both thought was awesome with the amazing fifteen window panels that really blew our minds away. Apparently St Louis built the Chapel to house a piece of the wood of the cross on which Jesus died. St-Chapelle is next to the Consiergerie, which also used to be a prison for a time and imprisoned Marie Antoinette during the French Revolution.. Interesting facts I had not known before today ;)

To wind off our day before going back to our homes with the best intentions to get a move on our many assignments, we stopped by this cafe right next to Musee Cluny (which I am yet to visit).

This is my new favourite place!!! Cafe Watt: Boire, manger, bavarder, s'amuser, flaner...
We definitely avons flâné here, which means we were in no hurry to get to our books, and passed our time as long as possible.

I really liked the interior, with the library like tables and bookcases with books and games on the upstairs, the corner bar and a bed full of cushions for seats on the ground floor, and even the colourful quirky toilets below...

Plus, how can you not help but love the Nutella coffee they offer, for not very expensive a price, either!!
Definitely coming back soon. Now, shall we hit the books, :)
