Blind people can read

Tuesday, January 04, 2011

I stayed at Borders to pass time between saying goodbye to an ex-Flattie and work, and saw a man crouched on the floor reading a book avidly in concentration. What was odd about him was that he had his head so close to the pages. It was a book about car engines, with not especially big prints. Leaning on the bookcase near him was a walking stick.

Even blind people love to read books, even the ones without the Braille system.
