A purple glass, a pink glass, and a pastry each. The shy sun poking its head out from time to time. Just stay with us!
We're talking smoothies over our pastel coloured drinks. I drink breakfast smoothies regularly and always try to make them rainbow coloured for some variety. Olaf makes theirs with ricotta and milk. I asked for soy milk rather than cow milk, and my blueberry smoothie still tastes alright. K suggests frozen kale cubes for the green one. A prefers sweet smoothies for his breakfast, but I might slip in some cubes here and there. He might not notice?
Olaf's pastries are small but lovely. I love the coconut pastry, though you definitely need a drink by your side; it gets quite dry. K got a lemon tartine and got a surprise at finding a slim layer of chocolate between the lemon and the base. Unexpected!
The sun decided to stay out a bit longer and Mt Eden Maungawhau next door was calling to us. Time for a little morning exercise!
