Travel Tech: Meeting Planner site
Sunday, October 26, 2014Here is a useful time management site I use all the time. It's bookmarked and favourited on the toolbar on top of my browser, for easy access: Meeting Planner.
How is this useful?
My family lives in Christchurch; my best friends live in Auckland, Budapest and Tokyo; my bank is in Melbourne. When your family, friends and contacts are all over the world - or you are all over the world - it can get confusing to plan when to catch up.
Sure, we all have smartphones these days, so we can easily find out what time it is anywhere in the world right now. But when your mum says, 'okay, honey, let's talk again around 7pm on Sunday, because I have to go now'. Which, Mum, being a busy social lady, says more often than not. So, 7pm Sunday for her is... what time here, again?
This is where this Meeting Planner comes in handy. You type in the relevant cities, click 'show timetable' and you're shown a colour coded time table of ideal times to meet up with each other.
Pick date and cities
7pm Sunday in Christchurch? That's 7am Sunday in Bordeaux - since Summertime finishes this week. Hmm, I don't think so, Mum. I'm sleeping in.
