Rumi is dark and romantic. Water is poured from beautiful clear glass jugs, held so the water falls into your glass in one long flowing stream. Freekeh salad, fried cauliflower and BBQ lamb ribs are more than enough for the two of us, but we wish we could order more. I especially liked the fried cauliflower, with caramelised onions, currents and pine nuts. Yum. On the other hand, their special 961 Red Ale is not my favourite. I'd like to try others in the range, though. Perhaps a Witbier?

Rumi is a popular Persian poet from the 13th century. His poems are beautiful, and the restaurant, named after him, takes on that calm, beautiful flow. People line up for a free table. I enjoyed the evening from start to finish. Especially the end, when my stomach was almost dangerously full, but had just enough space left for some Gandour Gums.
