Bring it on!

A month ago, I started a new job... Never mind that I had been on holiday after the first week.

Coming from more than three years at a startup with whom I had been since its early days, there is definitely much to learn in transitioning into a more corporate environment in an established workplace.

At the small company, I was used to working alongside the founders and training most of the team members. By the time I left the startup, as its oldest employee, and having closed and set up offices in each of their three regions, it's safe to say that I knew the company pretty well.

At this new, much bigger, company, I am small fry.

Nobody knows me yet, as I try to navigate through the massive network of still unfamiliar names and faces. From working autonomously almost by myself, there are suddenly ten times more colleagues in my team, and hundred times more in the actual building, than my previous company put together.

It's pretty exciting... and a little daunting. As all new experiences are.

Having anticipated the change for a while now, I am looking forward to learning new skills and absorbing the new work life this position will bring, as much as possible and as quickly as possible. Here's to the new challenges and new opportunities ahead! Bonne semaine, tout le monde !
