'It feels like home!' N said.
The place was just getting ready for some live music. Ooh! Let's sit nearby so we can see them up close! After a few beats, however, we decided to move - it was too loud for each other to be heard.
There were Spanish speakers everywhere. I did try, I really did, but Spanish verb conjugations are confusing and I would really like more practice. Hablas más lentemente, por favor!
N and I had raciones as entree, meaty mains, and good light barley beers, for our dinner. I always find it a tad overwhelming how much meat is involved in the everyday diet of Latin America. I had beef, and he had pork. They were nice, the first bite was especially lovely and juicy, but there was just too much and I couldn't finish. N helped.
The toilets were disgusting and unclean, but the waiters were friendly. It would have been nice to dance to the live music, too.
