Did you know there's a huge Filippino population in Seoul, South Korea? Well, not huge, but still quite a significant community to have their own market on Sundays, in Hyehwa, near the Catholic church where they have mass services in Filippino each week. I went to check it out with my cousin N and we had a blast trying little munchies out.

Filippinos eat a lot of meat - mostly pork and chicken, I believe. This pork stick was my favourite of the day!

There were coconut juices, food and other convenience buys, like shampoo and deodorant, and oats, etc, brands you wouldn't normally find in a (small) Korean stores, I guess.

Empanana, because Filippinos have Spanish influences in their culture due to back in their colony days. 

Finally got to try their colourful dessert, Halo-Halo! It's the Filippino version of the Korean 팥빙수 (pat bing su). They both have shaven ice, red beans, condensed milk... and in this Filippino version here, also green jelly... It was so good on a hot sunny day like this Sunday :)
