If you were to do some research on the meaning behind the word Fika, you'd perhaps come to the same conclusion as I had: Fika is more than a coffee break. It's what the Swedes call taking time to stop in the midst of our busy lives to slow down for a bit, sit down with coffee and probably some pastries and just relax for a while.

To have a proper Fika, it would make sense to have their coffee and foods in, and not to go. There are many Fika cafes popping up around the big cities nowadays, so why don't you have one in Brick Lane, as well? It's located right next door to the famous Beigel Bake on my London List. Don't bother to go before lunch time on weekdays, though, because you will be disappointed to find them closed. They only open during the afternoons. This is something I found very weird about cafes in London - most of them open only after 10am, which for me is bizarre and inconvenient when I want to have coffee first thing in the morning before work. However, Fika is open until very late after work, so you could definitely have dinner here, in lieu of a breakfast.
