The old Thai place has turned into a bar/restaurant. This was the first Thai place I had ever been too, twice, and they were not happy experiences. The food was mediocre, as was the service. The huge dining space was lost to flies and silent boredom. I thought I didn't like Thai food because of them!

When the new place opened, they advertised all day happy hours with $3 beers. Lucky they did because it certainly lured me in. Wow. The clean hip interior was definitely not expected. Little love seat with tiny picture frames hung above it in one nook, a wall covered with a full bookcase, another enlaced with weaving greens in pots.
Food served are a mix of Asian and Kiwi, which arouses suspicions that the former Thai owners are still around, but the chips we got were alright. My favourite were their $3.90 Kiwi beers. Cool taste inside the bottle and out, with their trivia quizzes and answers hidden behind a little tab at the back. Smart.
Definitely coming back here, to try out the different crooks and nooks.
