Sunday Brunch: Open sammie

Monday, August 13, 2012

M feels we don't have good enough bread in NZ. Actually, I've heard that a couple of times from other people visiting us from overseas. We do, though, if you know where to go. I usually go to the French bakery in Mt Eden for my baguettes and (occasionally) sourdough breads. Even in our supermarkets, we are improving. I took him to the bread cabinet at the local Countdown and he chose a Pumpkin and Chives bread loaf that looked decent. We had it brunch and mid-day snack on Sunday. It's so yummy! I'm going to go back and get some more this week. See, our bread is not so bad, either!
Margarine spread
Boiled egg, celery
Tomato, iceberg lettuce
How's this for a healthy weekend meal? :)
