1. Find the right moment and place
2. Listen
3. Be honest
4. Avoid judging
5. Don't make promises

Giving out advice is hard.. But sometimes there's a time when it has to be done, and the best you can do is try your best to help the other person out, and hope that everything will turn out well for that person.
